About Julie

The Journey

Brooks Institute of Photography trained photographer. Former Principal Photographer for Clorox. Founder of Wild Ember Creative (2024). Lead Camera Operator at Sandbox Studio San Francisco. Photo journalist with an emphasis on Latin America.

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of light, story and human connection. My formal training gave me technical mastery but the years working as a photojournalist, fine art photographer and commercial studio specialist taught me the best work happens not from following formulas but from being fully present with what’s in front of me. I specialize in commercial photography with an emphasis on lighting and styling but what drives me is that electric moment when everything clicks.

The Evolution

I learned intentional web design- not to replace photography but to complete it. Whether photographed, rendered or illustrated, the principal is the same: everything should represent who you actually are.

I co-founded Wild Ember Creative in 2024, a CGI art direction studio where I explored the cutting edge of AI and digital arts. That experience gave me deep expertise in CGI, AI tools and digital visualization- skills I bring to clients projects when needed. But what fulfills me most is collaborating with real people on work that helps their businesses shine.

Before the Product. Before the Shelf. The Vision.

Adore needed momentum before their Valentine juice hit Whole Foods shelves. Through Wild Ember Creative, my CGI focused creative studio, we created photorealistic product imagery and social posts using early AI technology- custom visuals built specifically for their brand, giving them an authentic presence even before their first production run. This resulted in traction, buzz and retail confidence before the product even existed. Adore successfully launched in Whole Foods with pre-existing brand presence and customer recognition.

Selected Work

No Stock Photos of Perfect Preschools. Just Harmony’s Garden.

When Jessica Strong needed a website for Harmony’s Garden School, generic preschool imagery wouldn’t cut it. I photographed her actual backyard program in Los Osos- the real natural beauty of her magical space. Then designed a custom site with her authentic story.

This is what happens when photography and web design work together: parents see exactly who they’re trusting with their children.

Let’s work together

I work with Fortune 500 brands and neighborhood businesses. Restaurants and wellness practices. Product launches and preschools. What they all have in common is a story worth telling. Whether you need photography, web design or both together- I’d love to hear yours.

Let’s talk about your business, your vision, and how we can create something real.
